Christmas Wish
Alex stared at the clock; it was getting closer to twelve and his heart was thumping harder, not with excitement but with dread. He couldn't take it any more. He sat up, swung his legs over the side of his bed and padded out of the room, and down the corridor to his best friend and crushes room. He opened the door slowly, smiling at the mess of blond hair on the pillow he walked over to the bed.
“Andy,” He said softly, he reached out a hand and stroked Andrew's shoulder, before thudding him gently. “Andy.” He said a little louder. The blond man stirred, turned over and opened his eyes wearily.
“Mm...Alex?” Andrew said, sleep thick in his voice.
“I...I'm scared.” Alex mumbled, looking down. He knew this was a stupid idea, he should have just stayed in bed and counted sheep backwards or something. Andrew frowned, what was there to be scared of? He moved back and opened up his covers.
“Come here.” He said. Alex; not needing to be told twice climbed into the bed, feeling safe, protected and warm when Andrew slung an arm over his waist pulling him close. “Bad dream?”
“Wasn't asleep.” Alex admitted.
“Then what are you scared of?” Andrew asked, his fingers idly drawing patterns across Alex's hips.
“We've got a chimney.” Alex says. Andrew frowns. “And... I...”
“Wait... A Chimney? What's that... Oh.” Andrew said.
“Stupid.” Alex muttered.
Andrew smiled, Alex was completely adorable when he was like this. He pulled him tighter, running his warm hands up his back; holding him close. “Michael was telling horror stories before he went to sleep. And... I heard a noise.” Andrew sighed; Michael was sometimes a bit of an idiot.
“So you came in here?”
“You make me feel safe.”
“Then you can always come in here. Don't want you feeling anything but safe.” Andrew said.
“Mm.” Alex yawned.
“You should get some sleep.” Andrew smiled.
“I... Kay.” Alex said, he tightened his grip on Andrew's shirt, much like a toddler does. “You sleep too.”
“I'll sleep too.” Andrew smiled.
“Mm.”
“Lexxie.”
“Ye Pandy?”
“Merry Christmas,” Andrew smiled, he leaned down and pressed a chaste kiss to Alex's soft lips. Alex's whole body became a mess of butterflies and he smiled at Andy. “Get some sleep.”
“Kay. Night Pandy. Merry Christmas.”
Andrew smiled as he watched Alex sleep; he couldn't believe he had got his Christmas wish... Alex in his arms; even if it was just because Michael had been telling horror stories about a zombie Santa Clause and Jason had chosen one minute before midnight to go to the kitchen and make a drink; knocking over a cup as he did so. Andrew didn't care. He got his Christmas wish and he was never letting it go.
