Actions of a mad photographer on an autumn day

Gardening and Chores
I woke up yesterday with a letter to post and a birthday to acknowledge, and so before having a bath I decided the garden needed some rapid attention. I put on some scruffy clothes and then ploughed my lawnmower flymo thing through the ten inches of grass. It was hard going and dug up the dirt more than cut the grass; I finally managed a hovering the mower at about 5 inch level and then cutting it a second time. It was hard work and hard going but I got something better at the end. The borders need doing and the entire thing needs a tidy up, but alas that was my energy drained and so I left it at that.

Estella Visit
I posted the letter at Wildwood way (a County Council establishment) and then proceeded to visits Estella, whose birthday it would be on the 31st. it was good to catch up, and get a fuss off their dogs too, as we chatted about the many events of the past six months or so. She was now a mentor, and an “Appropriate Adult” which would be a person who sits in the interview room with children ten to sixteen when they don’t have a suitable chosen adult of their own. It’s a good worthwhile task and one that she would be excellently suited for. Estella is also central in orchestrating her neighbourhood watch in her area and has already reported a half dozen persons who had been violating their ASBO’s in her area.

The latter had caused an admin need for cheaper Inkjet Ink, and so I have placed an order with www.loadsofink.com my own supplier for Ink cartridges and saved her over ten pounds.

Swimming
Upon my return I started cooking a large dinner of sliced beef, chicken pie, Yorkshire pudding, roast and croquet potatoes and gravy! It was superb, and set me up with enough energy that I managed to swim 52 lengths at the Droitwich pool. I had lost count at one point and couldn’t recall whether I was on 36 or 38, so did 2 extra at the end just o I would have completed 50 for sure either way.

I felt really good at the end and this wasn’t even being pushed. Sue and her mate Bridgett did their own thing, and I just swam at a more or less even pace catching them up here and there and then going off when they stopped to chat. I also managed to do some “arms only” lengths to try and give my upper body some extra work. I try and do these each time now interspersed amongst the others. I also did a lot more breast stroke than normal, and then reverted back to “Aaron stroke” which is a submerged crawl of sorts.

Photography
This morning (Tuesday) I went to Kinver Edge national park and did the photography for a friend as planned. I didn’t really know him, he was a contact from this journal, but he had requested photos and so I went ahead and did them. Yes he could have been a mad axe murderer, but I am more than capable of looking after myself, and he wouldn’t have got away without a fight should that have ensued. As it turned out, I had nothing to worry about as he was even quieter in person than his personality boasted on his journal. As a security measures though I kept my address to myself, although this was just me being overly cautious and completely unwarranted in this case.

Richard
Whilst photo editing his pictures Richard popped up, a romance from the past. My heart always warms to him even though he is quite possibly the most unreliable person to walk the face of the Earth. He said he is going to pop over after work around 11pm, (he does fast food delivery driving) and so I will look forward to that, but remain in the knowledge that he may not show.

Hiking Boots replacement
On the plan for this afternoon was some Hiking boots, but in phoning in advance I have found that the Worcester Millets doesn’t stock the ones I am interested in trying on. I could get them on line, but I really want to try and feel the comfort ability of them first. I may have to pop up to Birmingham to their larger store (on the guys advice off the phone) and see if they have them there. Failing the no stock option, there are plenty of other shops in Brum that could meet my need.

Right Now though
It’s food time, so I think a large beans on toast is in order (I have some extra thick toastie bread to use) and so that should be great, might through in a sausage and some scrambled egg too and make a bit of an all day breakfast out of it!!
