I just had a scary walk with my dogs. A stray pitbull with a ratty-assed collar (no tags) came up outta nowhere 'n wanted to check my dogs out. The girl, I could tell, was startin' to get all pissed off. Knowing the pitbull could kill her in one bite, I picked Wasabi up. So the pitbull started checkin' out my boy dog. Chansu, being an amazingly submissive dog, did just that. This apparently made the pitbull, who I could tell wasn't fixed, want to mount him. I tried to walk fast with my boy dog, but the pitbull was getting more and more belligerant, so I started lightly kicking it in towards the hind section. It was like it didn't even feel it. So I did it harder... still no real reaction. Stopped it for about 2 seconds while it re-planned its position of "attack". I was yelling at it to no visible effect as well. Eventually a neighbor came out 'n saw th' situation. He offerred to hold Wasabi so that I could pick Chansu up and walk home. Chansu's heavy. Overweight and heavy. So I pick him up and start walkin'. Well now the pitbull's prize was slightly out of reach so it starts jumping for him. I'm kicking kinda-blindly as I walk. It jumps once and, as dogs do, nips and gets a small bit of my elbox. Broke the skin, but it didn't bleed. I kicked it pertty hard that time... still it was like I didn't do it. I couldn't make it th' whole way like that so I put my boy down and grab th' pitbull by the collar. I hunchback it th' rest of th' way home like that and get Chansu and myself in the house without the pitbull. Thinkin' the pitbull must be *someone's*, I figure it's a garage dog so I open the garage and pull the car out. Sure enough, th' dog goes right in the garage - then I shut the door.
Now I'm waiting on Animal Control to get here (5 hour window). Ugh! I'd go and take a picture, but I don't wanna chance it having gotten pissed off or letting it accentally into th' house.
