Me too! Holmes does not suffer fools gladly so Watson must have some degree of intelligence.

Me too! The reason we do not see more Watson-gets-it-right in canon is because he was humble and wanted to highlight the talents of his friend.

Thanks! I see Holmes and Watson as a team. In this team, Watson pulls his own weight and Holmes acknowledges it. Their combined strengths make for a formidable force.
