I actually laughed out load -which I rarely do when reading something- at the moment when they both realized they were missing a certain "Mary". Lucky she is such a forgiving and patient woman!
Lovely case fic, I think it has a very ACD feeling about it, very apart from the setting of course, but more for the Watson "voice" in it. Holmes is spot on too, btw.
