She's gone for a while

Well, Gang...
I took the love of my life to the airport this morning. I could rant about the lack of compassion that our new security measures enforce (like the requirement to see my sweetheart off before the security checkpoint, or the androgynous, mean-spirited woman(?) who seems to forget that we're the people she's supposed to protect), but instead, I'll share an anecdote.

I'd planned to drop her off outside and continue on to work, until a rumbling in my tummy (from B.B.'s nachos the night before) told me there was a change in plans. We parked in the garage, and went to find the nearest head. One look in the stall, and I knew a paper toilet seat cover was a necessity. I pull the cover out and proceed to tear the nearly-impossible perforations. Keep in mind, that these new bathrooms are fully automated, so as I finally got the toilet seat cover set perfectly...

FLUSH!!!

I watched my handiwork go down the drain (literally). Needless, to say, the words I uttered are not appropriate for this forum, so we'll continue with the story. After I got the second one situated, I jumped on just in time to keep my second cover from joining the first.

Oh, the price of automation.

Of course, the sad conclusion of this story, is that my sweetheart is headed to Connecticut for a week, leaving me and our Bear Dog alone. We'll miss her terribly.
