The Chronicles of Narnia Feast...

Well, as most other readers already know, My wife and I went to go see the Chronicles of Narnia (Feast Edition) this evening when gev and maggiemaepisces couldn't make it.

The movie itself was pretty good; it followed the book fairly well with few deviations. The menu was a little unusual, starting off with an appetizer of sardines (fresh enough to include the head and bones) served on toast with four onion jam. This wasn't entirely unpleasant, as it was served with a nice New Zealand white wine which started tart, but finished quite smoothly.

The second course was a blended potato chedder soup in Bass ale. It had very little consistency, but was very pleasant with the tart Pinot Noir with which it was served. The main course was served with a rich Merlot, and consisted mainly of a venison tenderloin served with a pomegranate sauce and some seared vegetables. I think I enjoyed the sweetness of the mashed potatoes the most of this course.

For dessert, we were greeted with a marmalade sticky roll with ice cream served with a delicious Asti. This was the final true course, not including the post meal Earl Grey tea we received. Definitely, an interesting meal to go with a great movie.

Thanks, Glenn & Meg
