Things and costume docket update
Welp, my last and final comm I was watching moved to DW, so I guess I'm pretty much going to forget I have an LJ and never update it ever anymore. I'll try to remember to check in once in a while, but everything nice is at DW now. So if you have a DW account for non-RP stuff and want to, add me there (the name is also capsulecorp_tm over there). I never post there either but that's because I have like no friends there.
Anyway. Speed-built Sanji's dragon hoodie from the artbook in 1 day. Sewed the hoodie in about 2-3 hours, painted the dragon on in less than 1. This is what I do when I'm not working on a competition piece like EVERYONE ELSE IN HERE.

Sima Zhao is on for CC31. I haven't decided whether to prepare to commit to anything historical, or FFF, or Single Pattern, yet, but I really kind of want to use the chaps pattern and turn it into a cloak. We shall see. We still need to register both for 31 and CC32 in Toronto. Cannot WAIT for Toronto. But. Denver. We're doing a DW7 group, which so far includes Sima Zhao, Sima Shi, and Wang Yuanji for certain. We have tentative dibs on Guo Hai OR Guo Jia, Sima Yi, and Liu Shan. We're going all-out on quality as well as accuracy, with dyed silk, leather, and embroidery.
Yes, that is Kotetsu on my docket now. Yes, that is a power suit on my docket. I don't like mech, but the superhero power suits are okay. I want to do it and I want to do it without consulting the guys on the RPF who are all about mold-casting and vaccuforming and pepakura and blah. I don't WANT to do it that way, I don't want to use their dumb pepakura and I don't have the facilities to do resin, molds, or vaccform. I'm going to do it MY way, and it's going to be beautiful. I want to do the bodysuit separate from the power armor so I can detach the latter and run around in just the glowing green undersuit.
But that's...someday. Not this calendar year. Maybe next. Maybe for Toronto, dunno.
