HEY Y'ALL, IT'S BEEN A MINUTE. i see we've gone somewhat dormant compared to when the show's actually on, but i just finished rewatching doomstar for the billionth time and am brushing up on a bunch of canon for a fic i wanna write and it got me rolling into all kinds of speculation. and given that speculation is all we have right now (also nagging [as] to Fund It Already), i say WHY NOT, POST ALL YOUR OUTLANDISH CONSPIRACY THEORIES HERE.
and on that note, i ended up stumbling on one that actually really scares me and i think i made this post so someone could talk me down and tell me why it's impossible, lmao.
so like. i know a lot of people are pretty convinced that the traitor in dethklok's midst is murderface, thanks to that creepy dude's poisoned talon or whatever. the thing is... salacia says that there is a traitor among dethklok before dethklok goes to the depths of humanity.
how did ishnifus and the church of the black klok know to rescue charles from mordhaus? they had a funeral for him. but then at what point did charles's body vanish (taken by ishnifus to recover)? was it just an empty casket? if so, didn't somebody notice that? what's with all the symbolism of charles as a corpse? is it just that, symbolism? or was he actually dead and buried at some point?
brendon told us once that charles's scar/lack of scar is important.
that shot at the end of season 3 with salacia's face overlaid with charles's.
the lyric "i cannot stand by and refuse protection/ consider this my resignation of this whole profession." i always took this to mean that he felt he couldn't protect dethklok anymore in his current position, and that taking ishnifus's place would help him serve them better. but the phrasing is just so odd to me. it ends up sounding something like "i cannot continue being here with you while deliberately failing to protect you."
charles telling nathan, "one cannot serve two masters."
he swore a "sacred oath" to make sure the guys never came to harm during his time with them. i don't think band managers usually have to do that. salacia has never outright indicated that he wants harm to come to dethklok. in fact, there's a fair amount of evidence at this point to suggest that he needs them to come to power. i think probably that's why they call him "the half man." the other half is dethklok.
i'm scared murderface is nothing more than a misdirect. the real mole is charles.
guys. :(
help. please debunk this. :(
