Did you know?

That a crozier is what we commonly call a shepherd's crook?

Nowadays the actual term crozier is used more for the item carried in church, but it's still the same object at heart.

Something to think about...

That I did not know. Hunh. Makes sense, actually. Between Cardinal Ravenwood and Vater Orlaag, there's a definite religious element to the Tribunal. I'll stop now before I go off on some weird tangent.

(In lieu of a weird tangent, I'll just say that the Internet just taught me something about the etymology of the word "crochet." :D Tribunal Stitch and Bitch, anyone?)

I can see Crozier crocheting little placemats and doilies. I think Selatcia would be more likely to knit (baby booties and wee caps).

Vater Oorlag is totally a quilter though. Yarn just gets tangled in his beard.

Yeah I hear he gave up knitting after he inadvertently knit a strand of his beard into a sock, and had to walk around with a sock hanging off his face.

There's an old wives' tale saying that if you knit a strand of your hair into the project, the recipient's fate will forever be tied with yours.

I wonder who got that sock.
