Summary: An alternate ending to Dethdad

With an anxious, yet determined expression on his face, Toki strode into the cottage and unflinchingly made his way to his father’s bedside. He looked down on his father’s weathered face for the first time in thirteen years - painful lesions covered papery skin and a skeletal face, and his father struggled to take rattling, painful breaths through pus-filled lungs.

As Aslaug struggled to whisper something to his son in Norwegian, Toki leaned forward and strained to listen to his last request. After he finished explaining, Toki simply nodded, picked his father up and carried him outside the door to his waiting band mates. "My father’s last request is to see the house what’s he was born in,” he said. “We don’ts have much time, - let’s gos.”

When they arrived at the peak where the small house lay, Toki began his ascent with his friends following closely behind. The climb was long and punctuated with Murderface’s complaints of “freezshing to death on schome god-forshaken hill in the middle of nowhere,” but Toki doggedly pressed on without a word. As they finally neared the summit, Aslaug feebly struggled to turn his head to catch one last glimpse of his beloved childhood home. At that moment, Toki violently threw his fragile body to the ground as a smirking Nathan tossed a lit Molotov cocktail through a window, setting the dry wood ablaze. It was all Aslaug could do to watch in horror as his father’s home went down in flames while his son and his friends laughed raucously.

After he decided he had seen enough, Toki knelt by his father’s side, yanked him up by his front and snarled in Norwegian “Did you actually think that I would forgive you after ten years of hell, you prick? Come crawling back to my loving parents who beat me and worked me to death?”

Toki paused for a moment and smiled mirthlessly as he savored the look of utter despair and betrayal on his father’s face. “Rot in Hell, you bastard!” he screamed as he threw his father down the mountainside and watched as he slid under the frozen lake.

From Mordhaus' command center, Charles watched Toki’s long overdue vengeance with a self-satisfied look on his face - the miniscule hidden cameras attached to the band’s collars captured everything. He slightly leaned back in his chair, chuckling to himself as he sipped his brandy. If the Wartooths hadn’t informed Toki of his father’s last wishes beforehand, he wouldn’t have been able to put together his revenge. He reminded himself to save the footage to the computer’s database for later viewing - it would certainly make for a memorable vacation movie, if nothing else.
