Toki had bought presents for everyone. It was mostly just novelty stuff, because they guys already had anything they wanted or needed. And if they didn’t have it, it was because they weren’t allowed to. That had made shopping really hard. Skwisgaar’s was the only one he’d really put any time into, the others were just off the shelf.

He didn’t really expect any of them to get him anything, they mostly hated and endured the whole holiday season. All that cheer and crap wasn’t metal. But Toki liked to give presents, and he wasn’t going to let a little thing like his bandmates’ hatred of all things holiday stop him.
But being Toki, he found it impossible to actually wait until Christmas.

He had snuck around all day, leaving a present in everyone’s room. They’d all know it was from him because nobody else left wrapped gifts. And also because he’d put his name on them. (They would know anyway!) So far nobody had caught him, and now only Skwisgaar was left, saved for last. He wasn’t just going to leave this one.

There hadn’t been a good opportunity, and Toki was forced to wait until evening. Finally Skwisgaar headed for his room.
Toki hurried off as well, to retrieve Skwisgaar’s gift from his closet. Box in hand he went to deliver it, really hoping Skwisgaar would be pleased. Or at least not hate it too much.
It wasn’t perfect but it was the best he’d been able to do.

They’d been together for a while now, but sometimes it still seemed too good to be true. Skwisgaar loved him, or at least Toki really thought he did. The words had never actually been spoken, but that was just Skwisgaar. But he always smiled when Toki said it, that was proof enough, right?
The door was closed, so Toki knocked.
“Comes in.”

He hadn’t expected Skwisgaar to be sitting on the bed holding a wrapped present and smiling. Toki sat on the bed, setting his box beside Skwisgaar and staring at the present in his hands. A gift from someone else?
“Dis ams for you.” Skwisgaar handed the gift to Toki.
The box was very light, it felt empty. Ever since they’d given Murderface that empty box, Toki had been expecting to get one of his own. He wasn’t sure how to take this, or what it meant.

“Goes on, opens it.” Skwisgaar was still smiling.
Still uncertain, Toki obeyed and discovered the box was indeed empty. He looked up at Skwisgaar, hoping for an explanation, fighting to keep his expression neutral.
“Does you know what dat ams. Toki?”
He shook his head, afraid to speak.
“Love. I gives you a box of mine love.”

Toki stared down at the box in wonder, it didn’t look empty anymore. Then without letting it go, he flung his arms around Skwisgaar.
“Now don’ts be cryings, pfft, you ams such a ladies sometimes.” But he was hugging him back just as hard. “Okays, lets go for a minutes, I wants to see what you gets me.”

Toki reluctantly let go. He wished he could take back his present, it was nowhere near equal to Skwisgaar’s gift. But it was too late now, so he watched Skwisgaar open it.
Since they had no tissue paper (it wasn’t metal), Toki had used toilet paper from the gear level bathrooms for padding. Skwisgaar was unwinding it now.
“You gets me toilet papers?” He knew there was something in the middle, but it was still funny.
“There’s nothing more brutals than cheap toiler papers, right?” That stuff could almost give you splinters. Almost.

Finally the contents were revealed. A small dragon figure, painted in white, gold, and silver. Skwisgaar held it up, examining the details. Toki waited in silence, hoping it was acceptable.
“You paints dis youself?”
Toki nodded. “It comes in pieces, you has to puts them togethers foist. They has a bunch at the comics store, I picks the bestest one for you.”

Skwisgaar set it carefully on his night stand. “I likes him, I ams goings to keeps him rights here. Dat’s a good spot, ja?”
“But then he cans watch when we’s...”
“You ams sillies. But we can turns him arounds for dat if you wants. Maybe I better does dat now...” He swivelled the dragon to face the door, then moving the boxes aside, pulled Toki to lay down with him.

“Skwisgaar? I wish I thinks to gives you a box of love too.”
“Pfft, I don’ts need it gifts wraps.”
“I loves you. You really, really loves me? You never says it.”
“I jus don’ts says it, okays? But now you has a whole box to be remindings you. Ugh, it ams cold, let’s get in de beds.” His room was one of the coldest in the haus because of his large window that he refused to cover in any way.

The quickly undressed and slipped under the covers, pressing together to escape the chill of the sheets. Toki gave the dragon a quick glance to make sure it was looking the other way (it was), then kissed Skwisgaar.
The sheets warmed up rather quickly.
“I really loves you, Skwisgaar.”
“Toki, I... loves you too.”
