I finally watched the first installment of the
We Shall Remain series showing on PBS. I really enjoyed the show, both for the interesting history, compelling personal stories (esp. "Prince" Phillip's). Also, the manflesh was not so bad either. It's a good year for hot, fit, Native men I guess (We Shall Remain's cast, and New Moon later this year). Also, one of my master's paper committee members was in the show! Jean O'Brien is a prof here at the U, and I sort of remember her talking about the show when I was in her class, but it was so fun to see her little professor-y segments. :)
Also, this episode renewed my extreme dislike of puritans. Generally, they were hypocritical, disease-ridden, selfish, funny-hat wearing people. And to top it off they were just no fun.
