I loved it! It was even better than the prompt, so much better! Actually adored it when John came home and hugged Cara, haha, I LOVE that dog! Loved Mary's interactions with Ben, and I loved John with his grandson. It was so sweet how John was unsure of what to do cause Ben was his Grand son, I could totally imagine it though! And I loved Lisa being all appearance obsessed at the start... Oh, and I loved the flashback about the mobile! Oh, and the references to the boys' childhood! And I loved John and Mary's relationship! And Cara haha ;) Loved the store bit as well - was so realistic! Yeah, I think I may have quite likes this ;) hehe! GREAT JOB, as per! :D

I`m so glad you enjoyed the interactions between the characters, as well as the memories and references to past events. I really enjoyed putting them in there.
Also glad to know you liked the beginning - Don`t know where that came from, but I felt it was an interesting way to start the story, hehe.

Before I forget it, how about one where (you can pick the pairing, but I had wondered about dean, lisa and ben) where a child tries to play their parents against each other. Like, say it was Ben (though could be Dean or Sam), he maybe asks for something or to do something to his Mom who says no but then asks Dad who doesn't know and says yes, telling Dean maybe that she said yes or that he was to ask his Dad. Lisa gets annoyed or whatever at Dean for undermining her, and Dean realises what's happened and takes Ben in hand? Not sure if you'd be interested or if it's not your thing, but it'd be typical bratty Ben. :P

It must suck to have a parent or sibling who are allergic to furry animals. My sisters and I have different pets groing up (birds, rodents and a cat) And when I turned 14, I was given a cat of my own for a birthday present. (Her name was Nala, she sadly had to be put down two weeks ago. She was getting old, and she was sick)
Now I have three cats: Domino (white with round, grey spots on his back, he is Nalas son) Kiara (long-haired grey, with white paws and chest. Shes Nalas daughter, and her father was a Norwegian Forest Cat, so her paws and ears are covered in extra long fur) and Sarafina (very small, black, white spot on her chest and a white stripe that runs down her belly)
I`m considering getting a new cat soon.
The prompt where Ben tries to play his parents against each other sounds interesting, I might give it a go - but right now, I`m taking a break, hehe. Thanks, though!
