Well I guess she is gone now
I cried when I saw how many people came
All of her friends- old and hugging with their husbands or wives
The lonely man next door who brought her soup and grocery store coupons every week
The little korean sisters who cut her hair
and told her how lucky of a sign it is to have five daughters
The motherly woman who helped her around that big house
that became so lonely when he passed
They all came to say goodbye
People I didn't know came up and comforted
and talked of all the wonderful things she did
and how much she talked about us all
Pausing every few paces to look at the boards covered in the pictures of her life
One here of her family
Another there of her dressed and dancing in a line like a Rockette
My favorite was the one of her in a black and white, looking like one of those beautifully classy movie stars from the 50's
I still can't believe she's gone...
