Even if you just remember some simple conversation from a high school class, you can sign up for this registry and help a prospective tester develop the skills to fairly rate speakers. I have signed up for Portuguese and Spanish, but they have over 65 languages which need people of all (seriously, ALL) levels to help train new testers.
All you do is get a phone call (or if it's convenient, go somewhere) and have a short conversation (15-40 minutes) with a tester in the target language. They'll record your conversation and use it for training. I've viewed an example interview (about 20 minutes for the intermediate level speaker) and my own interview was about 30 minutes (for an advanced level speaker). Even though they did test my level and the level of the example interview, it was all very friendly and at no point was there any pressure to do better or speak more than you wanted to.
I say it's easy money if you have any level at all of another language...plus you'll be helping people like me be more consistent and fair graders. Anyone who's ever thought they were graded unfairly should love that!

The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) has launched a new initiative, the Language Learner Registry (LLR), an on-line registry of language learners - all languages - all levels of proficiency. This registry is part of the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Tester Training program.
Registry members are paid $25 each time they are interviewed for a practice test by a Tester Trainee during a Tester Training Workshop.
Interested individuals will register themselves into the Language Learner Registry, will be responsible for updating their contact information if that changes, and will be communicated with directly when practice tests need to be scheduled in their language.
Thanks in advance!
