Here is the first picture I took of Pipoca, my brand-new, picked-him-up-at-the-humane-society-this-morning ferret!
I've wanted a ferret forever, or at least since I was 9. In middle school, I actually wrote a research paper about ferrets. I recall not getting the best grade, because while I wrote that ferrets were "expensive" to adopt (when compared to cats, etc.) I never specified a price. Silly, silly 9-yr-old!
He is already 1 year, 1 months old. Pipoca means "popcorn" in Portuguese. It also is a term for the throng of people dancing at Carnaval in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, where I was proudly part of the pipoca for 5 crazy nights!
