Yes, that was a couch being moved into the base. Slowly. It was a nice, tan couch, looking to be quite soft to the touch.

And there was Captain Flowers... pushing the thing down one of the hallways of the blue base.

Too late, Cap. Simmons had been heading out of the base for a breath of fresh air, only to run into the back of a couch.
He paused and blinked. Cap, a couch, and something weird about Cap. This wasn't just some kind of dream, was it? This wasn't what he'd expect on a day to day basis... then again, things around the Gulch tended to vary wildly from nothing happening to the bizarre. It looked like it was just on the swing back.

"Uh, hey," he started.

Cap looked up from the couch, which he'd been diligently trying to push. Darn, he'd been caught red-handed! Oh well, he was the captain... he could pull this off. Couldn't he? Besides, it was his base! ...sorta. Okay, not really. But still! He had to have some authority. Even if there was no way he'd ever be mean to his privates.

"Hello!" he chirped. And yes, there may have been something just a bit weird about the captain... Just a bit.

"You need a hand?" Simmons asked, his usual ever-helpful front going up. After all, this was the captain, wouldn't do to deny him a hand if he needed one!
Hmm... what'd changed... he'd get there soon enough...

"Nooo!" he replied cheerfully, crouching a bit so he could push the large, bulky thing with his shoulder. It barely managed to move... but he'd made it this far! Through the entrance and kitchen... so he'd persevere!

"If you say so, sir," Simmons replied, doubtfully. Wasn't going to interfere if the captain said not to, but it just wasn't in his nature. He made sure to keep out of the way.

Butch nodded with his smile, turning around to put his back into pushing it. The result was a bit successful, moving it farther... but now, he couldn't see where he was pushing the darn thing! He needed like... Nicci, or somebody too strong for their own good to carry this thing.

A lot of those around Blue Base, to be fair.

"Uh, sir? If you don't mind me asking, what exactly are we *doing* with new furniture around here, anyway? When did you get that?"

Sad thing was, the captain of the Blues was probably the weakest there. Sads.

"Well... ah..." Flowers slumped against the side of the couch, sitting on his bottom. "My aunt thought I might like a couch."

"Well, I've seen packages from home before, but..." He raised an eyebrow. "This is certainly different."

"Eheh... yeah." Cappy mentally sweatdropped. "My family is a bit... eccentric."

"...Should I ask what sort of eccentric, or is this something I should really stay out of, sir?" Eccentric. Huh. Not like he hadn't seen his share of that in his time in the Gulch, either.

Cap got off his ass finally, dusting the back of his jeans off. "You know you're free to ask anything, Simmons! Don't be silly," the blue smiled.

"Well, it never hurts to be sure," he said with a slight shrug. He wasn't sure if he wanted to ask or not, now...

"Hmmm. True, true." Logical reasoning. Simmons was full of that! "My whole family is extremely close. Does that sum it up?"

"...I'm just going to make a couple of assumptions here and say yes, it does."

"Watch out, if you make assumptions, you might make an ass out of yourself," he cautioned, nearly giggling. So maybe that wasn't the whole saying, but who cared? It was Cappy, after all.
