The stages of addiction...
You know you are addicted to Harry Potter when...
1) You can quote parts of the books, movies and even various fanfics you have read at will.
2) When you dream of being a witch or wizard to the point of waking up and not realising it was a dream for several hours - and through interactions with others where the 'crazy' things you said were misunderstood.
(yes there was an embarrassing incident when I asken someone to perform a drying spell over a set of clothes as I was underage - The person thought I was asking her to iron - she refused - lots of muttering ensued over her knowing it was illegal for me to cast spells outside of school - in my defence I was half asleep at the time. heh)
3) When you consider how certain characters would react in certain situations on the off chance that you might one day stretch your fingers and write something.
4) When you actively consider them to be human and secretly hoard the links to several Harry just told JK the story stories on your top secret link filled favourites list.
5) When you don't have to check the lexicon to know who Draco Malfoy's uncle's aunt's brother in law's next door neighbour's grandmother's name is and know Crookshank's birthday.
6) When not doing something related to Harry Potter (eww no not Dudley ... EWW so not into necrophilia...except in that one fic where...minds out of the gutter people) at least once a day feels heartbreakingly wrong and you are known to have very low lows until you've had your daily HP fix.
7) Are bitter about all the eleven year olds who get letters each year inviting them to Hogwarts - and you know they do - why didn't you get one after all you are magical enough
8) Have an extreme crush on Daniel Radcliffe and did anyone watch him on Extras last week - I'm not as old as that woman - the injustice
9) Know that you are going to cry when you see the seventh book and are dreading reading it - the mantra of JK wont kill her baby keeps u alive
10) Have teddy bears named Pot-head, Weasel and Malfoy (who happens to be a flourescent pink duck)
