I suck at being social

I like hanging out with Anna, the only weird thing is that usually Melanie and Alice call to hang out. That doesn't really bother me at all, except when Melanie is "totally bored" just sitting there, too agitated to change the topic of conversation. WTF? If you don't like that Anna is talking about comics, then talk about something else.

I guess what bugs me more is that I feel compelled to spend money. Me and Kyle were going to have a free steak dinner (his family was having steak, and he asked them to put them aside so he could cook them later). Then I felt pushed into buying dinner with everyone else because I was "abandoning" the social circle by eating with Kyle. Then afterwards there was a list of movies brought out. Uhm, I just spend twenty three dollars on dinner for me and Kyle, I can't go to a movie theater. I'm not the smartest with money either so I guess I can't complain.

I'm totally okay with just sitting in a room talking to people. People rag on me for being a picky eater but at least I'm not a picky socialite? I try not to make people spend money just to hang out with me, but I guess that's cos I try not to spend money myself.

I just suck at being social.
