1. elvis costello:
   what a delightful little man. i saw one of his videos a while ago. and the band is just dancing in the jungle. i danced too. that was the start of our relationship.
2. frank sinatra:
   ol' blue eyes, eh? i sing with frankie whenever im in the mood. which is usually about once a day. sometimes more. he makes me feel fancy.
3. great big sea:
   i met them at borders. theyre just so damned feel good that you cant help but smile. thats all there is to it. finality.
4. joe versus the volcano:
   a seemingly campy film that grips you by the lips. i speak the script while i watch it. its one of the films i watch to feel better.
5. musicals:
   i dont know many, but i think theyre neat. we used to have opera night when i was younger. you had to sing everything you spoke. which was awesome. i love theatre and i love music. what could be better than sex child between the two?
6. pirates:
   pirates. im a pirate at heart. and everything else that is awesome. but pirates personify the awesomeness for me. the history of their acts justifies my admiration.
7. ry cooder:
   buena vista social club. i love the stuff. i was flipping through the tele about five months back and there was a special on them and how they came to be and all the members and their lives. theyre just happy old people now that walk through the streets of cuba and sing. thats what they do for fun. they have such magnetic personalities and its rather exciting. i love their music. ry cooder is the producer. but he plays with them too.
8. simian:
   whenever i listen to simian.. i bob my head and jiggle my butt. they have the feel of flying insects. that dance. and sound pretty and not at all buzzy. were in love.
9. the delays:
   these folks opened for franz ferdinand. it was awesome because we showed up late and they were just finishing but i actually dropped my jaw for them. and now theyve got their music on some tele commercial.
10. the mars volta:
    these are my buddies. my favorite musicians. i cant even talk about it..
