The WoWs and the quest for dirty looks.
So I went out last night to go pick up my Pre-ordered Collectors Edition of WotLK, which was apparently one of six that was given to the entire store. I ended up getting out of the house to head to the gamestop a lot later than I had wanted to due to my inability to get out of the house without forgetting ten different things. It also didn't help that I stopped to pick up a bunch of Red Bull and one of those five hour energy things.
When I got to the mall there were already what looked like a few hundred people waiting in line for the game and I thought I was going to be sitting there for a while reading my Nabokov. My lateness ended up working in my favour when I walked past the store manager who gazed upon my Red Bull with envious eyes and told me that if I had another one he'd let me in the front of the line and for the price of one redbull I skipped a couple hundred people in line and was kept warm during the weight by their angry glares.
The manager even went and got me my collectors edition early and just took my receipt and let me leave a little before midnight. I rushed out of the mall just in time to escort some drunk broad across the street and skedadled my way home to begin the patching and installation. I didn't have much time to play really with the whole "work" thing. I did manage to grind out about 800k xp and am liking what I see so far.
