I had a pretty interesting weekend, busy but I'd have to say I enjoyed it overall. Friday night whiteraevyn and I enjoyed coffee and sushi with nosferatulouis, diamanta and other people.
Then I spent a good 11 or so hours at a co-workers abode playing in a friendly Texas Hold'em poker tournament. I didn't come out on top, or even in the top 4, but as it was my first foray into poker I don't think I did too bad.
Sunday, now that was an interesting day. Teh Nikki ended up taking the day off from work, which was a nice surprise since her late work ours combined with my early work hours meant we hadn't seen much of each other. We ended up deciding to wander around a couple car places in search of a vehicular transport that might end up replacing Nikki's wonderful but gas guzzling Jeep. Suffices to say used car salesmen haven't changed, and we encountered an interesting mix, one nice enough, another a raging asshole who apparently thought that telling us he used to have tons of money and we should buy this car, right here & right now since he had to file Chapter 7 & 13 bankruptcy and he knows its a 'super-duper' deal. Yeah, right, your obvious disinterest in actually trying to work with us and your past financial mishaps are going to make us want to buy a car from your.
