Rhythmic buzzing is bad!

Well, not exactly. I'm ok, but my computer is not. The other day it started making funny brrt brrt brrt brrtbrrt noises (probably from the HD) and it was having trouble responding to commands and, well, anything. Most of the important stuff has been backed up to the external, so that's good. Jim's computer seems pretty ok, which is good because it means I can write here, not to mention check silly Flash games (Facebook) that the little Mac cannot handle anymore.
So yeah. It's annoying, because it's a good computer. I'm actually hoping that the drive isn't dying (fun as a new one would be) because then I'd get to reinstall everything all nice and clean. I was going to defrag it for fun anyway, and reinstalling will more than take care of that.
