Okay, so FIRST OFF: The person who sen tthis to me is a dear friend, i love her, so dont think otherwise, I just was *inspired* by the email i got. Here is the e-mail:

Subject: Prayer Request

According to the weather reports, it is my understanding that it is 122 degrees in Iraq right now - and the low will be 111! Our troops need our prayers for strength, endurance and safety. If it be God's will, give these men and women the strength they need to prevail. I am sorry but I am not breaking this one....Let us pray Prayer chain for our Military...please don't break it Please send this on after a short prayer. Pray for our soldiers...

Prayer

"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they
protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Prayer Request: When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops around the world.

There is nothing attached.... . Just send this to all the people in your address book. Do not let it stop with you, please.... Of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine & others deployed in harm's way, Prayer is the very best one.

Here is My Response:

What about all those people who LIVE there? What about the Millions (if there are that many left after our presence there) of people, human Beings who INHABIT that nation, and have done so for thousands of years?? Do these People NOT deserve our prayers? I believe in prayer, But i think that there are better things to pray for, Like for the senseless occupation of that nation to stop, for the bloodshed and the hate and the lies of this country to stop taking its toll on innocent people who want NOTHING more than to see the sun rise on their home one more day, or to see their children grow up to have another Birthday Celebration, Not a Funeral Eulogy.

"Protect them as they protect us," or something to that effect? That can be debated, but i wont get into that argument. Think of this: These people who fight against the US influence in the Middle East, who are they? Terrorists? These are people who have had their HOMES INVADED by Foreigners; complete strangers from halfway across the world, they come heavily armed and, in the name of all mighty "Democracy", kill the ones they love and tear their entire world apart. So what do they do, sit on their hands and let it be? Well ofcourse! We are mighty America! Why wouldn't they?

Occupation is Occupation no matter HOW you cut it. And I KNOW that if America were to be occupied, every bobby sue and every Jim beam would be honored and exalted if they fought back. With ANYTHING they had. Rocks, Sticks, Geurilla tactics. . . Oh gee, this is starting to sound familar. Boys--Literal CHILDREN killed, SHOT by armed US guards because what? They beleive in THEIR country Strong enough to FIGHT for it. By Definition, I would say that they are no different from what Half of the American Populous THINKS they would do. The Difference? They are actually DOING it. THESE people are the patriots of their Nation.

So lets be *Generous* Christians and throw a little prayer their way, huh? Here's to the PEOPLE of Iraq.
