why

it's weird to think about where i was a week ago today.

for one i was in illinois, not really home but still there. the funeral memorial mass had just ended and it was time for the big lunch thing they church had in the basement. in the kid's cafeteria. it was catered by jewel. so i was eating food that didn't taste right, sitting at a table with my brother, my friend sara, and my cousin. this is strange for several reasons, first, last time (the first time) sara saw my cousin he shoved the rolling ottoman at her. second, my cousin usually doesn't talk to us, he's a year and a half older than me, so not that big of a difference, but whatever. third, my brother is like, a teenager. so what are we doing? going around telling jokes. and by going around i mean i was telling jokes, sara was being so tots awk, and my cousin and my brother were throwing food in each others drinks.

joke #1:How many emo kids does it take to screw in a light bulb?
AHAHAHAHHAHAH
SHUT UP no one cares
0, they would rather cry in the dark

ok ok ok
joke #2: How many scene/indie/hipster kids does it take to screw in a light bulb?
haha HAAHAHhahaha
ANNIE SHUT UP
well it's a great number, but you have probably never heard of it anyway...
ha. hahah.ah. that's good

So also we were all wearing funeral clothes. which means my brother was wearing what he wore for graduation, and confirmation, and probably ever bat/bar mitzvah he went to (it wasn't all black). Sara looked relatively normal, my cousin was wearing a black suit with a black shirt and a black tie and his $100 sunglasses in the pocket. and me? what was i wearing?
this really attractive dress that was my mom's from the 80's. it was sooo awk looking. top it off with a huge black belt. at the waist. i should have been in 1992. maybe. i looked ridiculous. which didn't help the mood.

and yes, i am in the process of writing down the story of this funeral, which i will someday make into a movie. watch for it.
