EDIT: Thank you Brett for commenting about Reggie White. He was truly an amazing man, as well as football player. I remember my mom telling me the story about how when she went to a game at Lambeau Field, she waved to Reggie, and he winked and waved back. He made her feel so warm inside. Hey, sweetie. A little story that I thought might brighten your day.

Okay, I'm in Florida, as you know. Florida = 100x the normal number of Jehovah's Witnesses. My uncle is gay, but he loves to invite them in and have long chats with them while he's cooking. He gets a huge kick out of the fact that they would damn him to hell if they knew he was gay. Yet they remain completely unaware despite his obsessions over interior design, clothing, shoes, and cooking, and the fact that he lives with another man. My brother and I got the house to ourselves this morning, so we were just hanging out and watching tv, and these two women come to the door. They introduced themselves to me, and I introduced myself (they knew Thane by name, so I assumed they were just friends). Well, they weren't. They were friends from Jehovah's Witnesses. So I had a lovely chat with them, and the woman showed me a couple of passages in the bible proving that the fighting in the Middle East was wrong. She then handed me two "magazines". One is entitled "The Watchtower - Announcing Jehovah's Kingdom : Can Religion Unite Mankind?". The other one is called "Awake!" the issue being "Can Planet Earth Be Saved?" She seemed totally surprised that I gave her such a positive reception. I just kept nodding and smiling and agreeing with everything she said. What a fun lady. Yeah, that's the end of my story.
