It's been a troublesome tuesday night, so I'm sitting here with my New Amsterdams. Do you remember them? Or more accurately, him? You came with me to see the show in Cambridge in November or maybe December. I'm not talking about that other guy with the multiple personalities and a terrible, terrible singing voice. The good one. Things were so right back then.

"Sleep tight, never you mind
Lonely hearts are breaking tonight"

I remember picking you up, heading into town, and struggling to find the place. We parked and went into a McDonald's to enjoy the warmth for a bit. We were much too early. Inside, that place was tiny. As I sat on the edge of the stage with you, it was more calming than uncomfortable (and that stage was uncomfortable). Something about that smile gets me everytime.

"You're all I want
If I have to choose
I'm choosing you"

When I look back, maybe we didn't do too much with our time. There was the concert, The Crucible with Heather, a few dinners off campus. In fact, we spent most of our time together trying to get away from everyone else. The sleepovers are still my favorite, but maybe that's because sleeping has been a little more difficult recently.

"It's all said and done
Keeps me at ease
Sings us both to sleep
We don't have to say goodbye"

Valentine's Day was good, and that must count for something. Remember the nap that afternoon? We were exhausted from the night before. You were out escaping, clearing your mind, and Nick, Cat, and I were up wondering why you were out so late. It was a rough night, but I wouldn't think of doing otherwise if it happened again.

"If I inflict the pain
Then baby, only I can comfort you"

It's all on us now. There's no way either one of us can sort out this mess alone, but I don't think we can just leave it any longer. Whenever you're ready, let me know, because I'm positive that I am.

"Every letter ever sent her does remind
That our memories are always on my mind
So it stays
Wait for the world to stop and I won't run away
Wait for the world to stop and I won't run away
Wait for the world to stop and I won't run away"

I guess I picked a good CD to listen to tonight.

We care about each other more than enough to fix this.

Your Cap'n
Adam
