Harp and a new LJ style
Yep, I have a new look on my livejournal... the old one was getting kind of boring. The only thing I don't like about this one is how the mood and music go on the bottom instead of by the title like in my old one.
Anyway...
Earlier today this lady my mom works with, Ms. Schaeffer, came by to hear me play the harp. Apparantly I'm going to play for her wedding on Sept. 11...
So what do I think about this?? I'm scared! Because I've never played for a wedding before, and this isn't exactly much notice. At least she doesn't care what songs I play, so I can do some that I already know. But the only time I've ever played with lots of people listening was for a wedding reception, which is completely different. There, I was just in the background, and if I messed up, no one would notice. Now I have to play while they walk down the aisle... and everyone will definitely be able to tell if I do something wrong...
So I'm practice practice practicing a lot up till the wedding. Plus, I got my music today for Youth. It's very different. Not at all like all the solo harp pieces I play, because it doesn't have any melody. It's just lots of trilly stuff. But that's OK, it should be fun anyway. Ha, that rhymes...
