Library Goodness

Work has been far too crazy lately. Too much work and not enough free time. I feel like a walking zombie.  Work and school are permeating too deeply into my mind lately. Even my dreams are becoming all too literal.

Take for example, last night/ this morning. Shortly before the alarm went off I was in a dream where my alarm went off, I got up and showered. After that I sat down to eat some Sugar Smacks. Right as the spoonful of honey glazed gold reached my lips.....my alarm in the real world went off. Thus signaling the end of my sleep and time to repeat what I had already done in my sleep.

Worked all night last night. The past few shifts at work have been punctuated by sell out crowds (i.e. a  load of work for doing in move in speeches and finding seats, dealing with lines) and bouts of intense physical labor. Not to say that I'm above it or anything silly like that. It is just that the work is tiring and time consuming, especially while I'm trying to use the down time to catch up on the class reading that I am behind in. Last night work ran until 1am and this very morning I was up at 8. Although 1am doesn't sound too particularly bad, by the time one gets home, finishes some last minute assignments and gets ready for bed, you find yourself realizing it is half past three.

C'est La Vie or something or other.

Well, here I sit today, torn between reading Harry Potter 5 and just continuing to surf the internet at Strozier. While reading Harry Potter has its merits, I'm sure that when I get to the end of book 7, somebody will spoil it.  I'll be talking about how I put down the book last night and somebody will say something along the lines of  "Shit man, I didn't expect the sniper to get both Dumbledor and Harry with one shot" or "who would have thought that Ol' J. K. Rowling had it in her to kill Christopher Walken?"

Well, all of these light thoughts are to try and combat the feeling of somberness that pervades the day due to the memory of this dark day in 2001 (which was in actuality a pretty bright and pleasant day for the climate).

Tonight is my night off and as soon as the last class releases at 6:30 I will be off like a rocket to go home and drown myself in the anticipated fried gold that is Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny
