Goldenage Recs :)
The Salt and Pepper fest at hp_goldenage finished posting last week and it's been amazing. Seriously, please take a moment to stop by the fest and check some awesome stories with our favourite witches and wizards in their ~old~ age. They are the best!
Here are some of my favourites because the whole fest has been my favourite, basically:
Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by gracerene
Pairing: Ginny/Luna
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 2K
Summary: Her shoulder always ached when it rained.
My notes: This is gorgeous, there's such a gentle feel about Ginny and Luna's relationship that is the sweetest, and still, incredibly sexy at the same time.
Grumpy Old Men by rosevalleynb
Pairing: Various Slytherins (Gen)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 4,2K
Summary: Growing older sucks. “I hate getting older. Everything hurts, and what doesn’t hurt, doesn’t work.”
My notes: This is hilarious because it's all these grumpy old men complaining about everything in their old age and, yeah, it's pretty awesome. If you're looking for something to dive into Gen fic, try this fic, is super!
Grumpy Old Wizards by teshara
Pairing: Severus Snape, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy (Gen - mostly, with a touch of Snape/Hermione)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 10K
Summary: Both teen angst and midlife crisis were great failures for him, but old age obstinacy might be exactly Snape's thing.
Warnings/Content: check the post for these. :)
My notes: Another hilarious fic, told from Snape, Draco and Hermione's POVs in turn, and they are dealing with the consequences of Nagini's bite (still after all these years) and in the meantime they are grumpy as well. A touch of Snape/Hermione by the end, super entertaining!
Settle by mindabbles
Pairing: Teddy/James (mention James/OMC, of past Teddy/Victoire)
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 9,3K
Summary: James has never wanted to settle down - or maybe he’s never wanted to settle.
My notes: This is beautiful because of the way it portrays Teddy and James's friendship, after all these years they are still so close and they obviously care for each other so much. Teddy's just finished his divorce and on top he's dealing with an apparent curse and James is there for him and all the feelings he's had for Teddy are starting to come back to the surface and-just wonderful. <3
Inevitable by llaeyro
Pairing: Ron/Harry
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 4K
Summary: “Ever since their divorces, Harry and Ron have been closer than ever. Really, really, close.”

My notes: God, Harry and Ron are so perfect in this fic! Harry's just divorced from Ginny but they've been separated for a couple of years, he's been living with Ron all that time and they are so wonderfully domestic and cute, and god, yeah, perfect.
