Hey everyone I'm officially moved in to my place in North Hollywood!! I really think I'm going to love it here. The weather is amazing, my roommates are great, and if I'm lucky, I'll have a job soon.
So here is a quick over view of my trip: (sorry there isn't a LJ cut, i tried like 5 times and it didn't work)
First off, the rig.
Originally i was supposed to tow a uhual cart behind my car. Well when we got there they realized they made a huge mistake. Uhaul doesn't rent to convertibles. So they comped us the truck for the price of the cart! We didn't have to pay for miles or anything. On top of that, they gave us the flatbed to tow the car. Literally saved thousands!
So we stopped in Louisiana
chilled on Bourbon st.
Very cool place. Had some jambalaya, got scammed by some homeless guy for 5 bucks (he cleaned my sandals and then said i owed him 10) Even after all the destruction the street was pretty busy for a Tuesday.
Next up was San Antonio. I Love this city. Perhaps one of the coolest things about the city is the riverfront area. The restaurants and stores sit right on the river and you walk along the sidewalk which is the bank.
Yes this is actually the sidewalk
You should recognize this building...
Ghostbusters!!
The Alamo
Found a Ghost town in Texas
Went cave exploring in Arizona
Almost got hit by a train!
Went boating, or fixing as it's generally called.
Boating in Arizona is so much different. I don't like it better but it's definitely enjoyable. It's much more nature based. You are in this lake surrounded by mountains and all you can here is the wilderness. It's really amazing.
Don't think i need to say anything about the sunsets
This was an hour before i was in LA when i locked the keys to the uhual in the truck. That was a fun 65 dollar mistake.
I went to disneyland with my mom and had sooo much fun!! Everyone said i was going to be disappointed but to be honest i really enjoyed it. Disneyland hasn't cut corners like Disney World. They still have the magic. Even a lot of their rides are better. It's like we got the watered down version. Don't get me wrong. There's no EPCOT or any of the other parks. But just comparing Magic Kingdom to Disneyland, well they both have some pretty strong attributes. On that note, i must say that the Indiana Jones ride is one of the best rides i've been on!!!
Their castle is laughable. My mom and i burst out laughing when we turned down main street and saw this.
Seriously, it's like two stories tall. I mean come one, Cinderella got gypped.
Also they have a Jedi training academy were they teach the kids how to be a jedi, how sweet is that?!
I'll finish with a picture of me :)
