I don't really know where to begin, because it has been such a long time since I updated this. I survived Training School and actually ended up learning something. My performance evaluation scores were really high: a 96 in tap, 93 in ballet, and a 90 in jazz. On the written exams I got perfect scores on everything except in my Children's class...I got one wrong :)
Dunkin Donuts has been alright...I've discovered that I really like talking and relating to people, which probably catches customers off-guard because they probably aren't expecting a Dunkin Donuts employee to be happy to be there. However, I must say, if I had to work there for the rest of my life (like most of the people who work there), I probably wouldn't like it as much. Tomorrow is my last day for a while....I'm not working through the fall because of Cross Country and dance. I"m going to call them again after the XC season is over to reassess whether or not I think I can work (or even want to).
Tomorrow my grandparents are coming up from Florida. They'll be here for two weeks which means I'm kicked out of my room for two weeks. The plan right now is for me to sleep downstairs in the room with the piano and treadmill, but right now there's a large bench/cabinet thing that my dad made for someone's kitchen in there.... I'm really excited that they're comming up, but I'm not so excited that I have to sleep on the floor for the start of school. I like things to start well and organized and routinely, and this just kinda messes me up. It's okay though, this is a good thing. I need to be out of my comfort zone. The school year is still going to be successful, whether I sleep in my own bed or not.
I'm very excited for school! The new teachers seem really, really awesome! I hope I get a good advisor...and I hope it's male, mainly because I've never had a male advisor. I had Ann for two years and then Dawn (who I will not have again this year or ever again).
I need to talk to Amanda about having a co-advisor meeting. Jeeze louise.
