By the time the pair returned to the apartment, it was already well into the hours of the afternoon and the sun had started its decline in the skies. It followed roughly the same pattern as it had the night before. Shizuo walked in carrying Tsugaru in his arms, slid his shoes off and moved them over to their place by the door, and then did the same with Tsugaru’s without ever placing the blonde child to the floor. He even followed it so far in that he walked straight past the living room area and progressed back towards Tsugaru’s room without even glancing into it, bypassing the raven who waited for him there almost completely.
Yes, Izaya had decided to pay the brute another visit. This time, however, he was determined to find out more about the current situation with the brute and he was equipped with the tools to do so. If the blonde acted even marginally how Izaya expected him to (though this often didn’t work, but he’d try anyway), then he would have everything he wanted to know before he even left the apartment. He just had to wait for-
“What the hell are you doing here, flea?!” the hiss was as loud as the man dared to be with his son napping in the other room. “Didn’t get enough ass-kicking last time you showed your rotten face here, huh?!” The look the blonde gave was positively murderous, though his voice didn’t seem to quite rise to the occasion.
“Tsk, tsk, Shizu-chan,” the raven responded shaking his head and smirking. “Such language! And so close to where your innocent little child is sleeping. Don’t want him picking up bad habits, do you?”
“Don’t act like you care, pest! Just get out now before I finish what I started yesterday,” Shizuo responded, his voice growing louder though amber eyes darted at the hallway uneasily, checking for any signs that Tsugaru was awake.
“I just want to talk, is that too much to ask?” Izaya stated in response, gesturing out with his hands, trying to come across as unarmed.
“Tch, like hell you just want to talk,” the blonde growled in response, tones not quite as full of rage as they had been before. Amber eyes watched the raven warily, ready to attack if needed.
“I just want to know a little bit more about the current situation, that’s all.” The smirk on his face said differently, however. “And I think you’re the only one who really knows anything about it, right Shizu-chan?”
“And what makes you think I’m going to tell you anything about it? Lousy flea.”
“Well see, that’s where I’m going to make you an offer that you can’t refuse. So you’re going to tell me, because I don’t think you’re going to like the other option I’m giving you,” the raven stated, smirk growing nearly into a full-out grin at the statement. Shizuo’s eyes narrowed in response, slits of golden amber shining through.
“What’s this offer, huh?” he asked in response, tones barely lingering on the line between fury and absolute rage. His fists were clenched, knuckles white, his whole body tensing in reaction as he waited for the deal to be revealed. He tried not to let his heart sink at the flea’s words. Most of the time, those kinds of words meant that it really was something that couldn’t be turned down.
“Quite simply, I know where you live and where your residence is. I know that Tsugaru is actually your biological son, and I know you don’t want to be found. On top of that, I also know where Tsugaru stays during the day and how to make sure that he is left in a very vulnerable position. This information can and will be spread to the right people and will get places if you don’t give me the information I desire,” Izaya explained, grin spreading even wider as he watched the details sinking slowly into the blonde’s understanding, almost as obvious as the blood currently draining from his face.
