1. Some more tolerant NPCs will look the other way when it comes to showing ID to get a job, but more importantly, there's no super special infrastructure to find them out if the identities are convincing enough. If they're going to use that new identity to, say, blow up Manhattan, you'd want to run it by us first, but otherwise it's totally cool to assume!
2. Yes, it is! PC jobs can be fun to play out, but they're not in any way necessary to get your character employed and/or increase their income. The only reason you should contact mods and notify players about jobs is if your character is starting up a significant business of their own, and that's for the sake of keeping people up to date on the worldbuild.
3. If your character is ICly able to go back into the building (and it's not like there are a huge amount of security measures that would prevent them from doing such) and snag a new one, they're permitted to do so! Just note it on the OOC community, or in the OOC description of an IC post, so that people are aware of the new serial number.
