Ok, this little thought keeps going around and around in my head. The doctor has never shagged any humans to my knowledge. Not Sarah Jane, not Rose (who you'd think he would have) not Martha and not Jack (well just in case he swings that way).
So that's left me wondering if it might be some sort of biological issue. Yes he looks human with all his clothes on, but who knows what's under that fantastic suit of his?
Just maybe humans and time lords aren't compatible after all? Yes he loves Rose to the point where we all believe he would if he could. But as humans, we love other species and can't (or shouldn't hehe) shag them. We've all heard of dogs and cats that become family members and get kisses and hugs from their owners. Maybe the Dr just loves his companions much like we love our pets. Come to think of it, the relationship is similar in that we can have several dogs, one after another. Get them as puppies, watch them grow, train them to be perfect companions and then have to suffer watching them get old and die in just a matter of 10-20 years. While we live on.....
Anyhow, back to the biological issue. What if his genetic transfer system is different from a humans? It might be very similar, but what if there are a few very vital differences that would take all the pleasure out of a transfer (lol, trying to stay scientific here) for the human and actually make it very painful? There are earth creatures where genetic transfers can be very painful if not downright fatal to one or both of the potential parents.
I've always been curious about the Doctor's love/hate relationship with cats. Yes I know he blames his dislike for cats on New New York, but what if it's something else? Cats have an interesting mating technique. It's one where it would be very painful if attempted on humans. For example, female cats are induced to ovulate by the barbs at the end of the tom's penis. Could you imagine barbs on the Doctor? Ouch, I don't care how gorgeous he is, keep that away from me!
