Summer holidays approaching
I fly to the UK in two days, leaving all my belongings in boxes in the middle of the living room. The flat I'm moving into on my return won't be vacant for another two weeks. In some perfect version of reality I'll arrive back here at the end of August and find all my stuff has been carted upstairs and into the new place for me. I wonder what will actually happen?
I'm certain that the other flat is worth all the hassle of moving. It has lots of natural light and is much quieter than the one I'm in. Of course, one downside of the move is the fact that in August I'll have to go through the lengthy process of getting the phone line in my name and then reconnecting broadband. My current connection will be switched off tonight, and it could be three months before I can browse to my heart's content. So, if I'm a bit quiet, it's not that I've forgotten about LJ and my friends here. As usual, I'll be travelling with a bag full of gadgets, so I'll be reading regularly, even if it's not always possible to reply or post.
