Mmmm, weekends. Yum.

This weekend was just what I needed...a chance to get away from school for a few days, be productive around my home, and see some of my friends.

My room is finally painted! Well, mostly. My father is taking care of the trim for me while I'm up here at school. Once the trim is done, I just need to paint the doors to my closet and my room will finally be finished! We moved there...hmm, probably sometime in June. I'm not sure because the whole summer kinda blurred together. At any rate, ever since then, I haven't been able to unpack my room simply because I wasn't there at first, and then it made no sense to because we'd have to tear it apart to paint it. It will be nice to come home and not have all my furniture at weird angles in the middle of the room.

I got to go to the zoo on Saturday. I think the last time I was there was sometime around the summer of 2000 but I could be off by a bit. My only complaint is that there is no wombat exhibit. (and apparently I'm not the only wombat fanatic like I thought) I think a trip to Australia is called for. Since college students are, by definition, poor, I doubt I'll be going soon though. Besides,I think I'd rather go back to France. Maybe I'll just FedEx myself to some zoo in Australia and label the box as wombat food. :-)

As much as I enjoyed being with my friends this weekend, I must admit it made me worry even more. No one has said anything to me about what's going on beneath the surface, but it doesn't take a genius to realize something's wrong. I just don't know what. I'm one of those people that worries incessantly, especially about friends.

The truly frustrating part is that I rarely see some of them. I'd love to call and get together with some of them, but I don't even have some of their numbers. Eh, I guess if you read this and want to, send me a message (email, AOL, MSN, etc...) and I'll give you my number. I used to put them in my AIM profile, but there are some crazy people that know my AIM name now and using privacy is not an option...yet.

So yeah, I'm back in East Lansing. I've got the whole school thing to do this week. Blah and stuff.
