A milestone for me
March 1st is always a milestone in the season in my mind. It means that winter is almost over.
This morning at approximately 7:00, we watched a very large, healthy doe walk through our back yard. She must have been coming from the river that's a couple of hundred yards from our house. She just meandered through the back yard. Louise the Cat freaked, and was following the deer from window to window.
This morning on my way to work it's possible to see that spring is coming. The birdsong is loud and plentiful, and the sunlight is "softer" and not as sharp and bright as it is in mid-winter.
