Better Living Through Chemical Intervention -- Hopefully

After meeting with my migraine doctor he's decided that I should go back on the Neurontin immediately. Half the dosage starting immediately, then the rest of it in a week. I can trace the increase in my headaches to the time I completely went off the Neurontin, plus I've noticed that I'm more stressed about deadlines and my inability to focus or get work done (Neurontin is an anti-anxiety medicine). The doctor also wants me to decrease the daily Topamax dosage from 100mg to 75mg.

I can't get in for another check-up until March, that's when he's booking follow-ups. But he wants me to update him regularly by e-mail, and if I'm still having trouble adjusting, he'll see me for an emergency appointment.

I have an appointment next week with my primary-care physician, to bring her up to speed. She's been on sabbatical for the past year.

The one good thing about Boston today was that it was in the mid-60's, and the rain we were supposed to get today isn't coming until tomorrow. It was absolutely gorgeous and mild in the city. A special day to be enjoyed, because this kind of weather is unheard-of for late November around here.

migraine rantings, new england weather rantings, stress has made me what i am, better living thru chemical intervention
