I went to my first comic book convention in over a decade last year when Ellen and I went to the MidOhio Comic Con. I had a very good time, and to my complete surprise, Ellen had a lot of fun too. Two things: One, when I originally came over to request my sketch, I had a ten minute conversation with both of them about their six month old baby, which is something I'm going to generalize and say most of the guys who want something off of Tony Moore couldn't care less about. Maybe that bought me some goodwill?

Secondly, I was also magnanimous about the fact that he didn't get to my sketch. It definitely should have been done in the time frame I was given when I signed up. I just figured that the guy seems like a local artist and I'll have other opportunities to get a drawing from him. Like I said, by all rights I should have gotten what I asked for since I had been told it would be done in an hour and it was two hours later I came by. I think he was apologetic in that I seemed like a nice enough person who wasn't going to give him an enormous amount of crap for not drawing a sketch.

This was a MUCH smaller show than Emerald City so perhaps he wasn't feeling as much pressure? He didn't personalize my books either which kind of stinks.

Incidentally, congrats on the nuptials. You guys look really happy!
