First off, I and the rest of the mod staff would like to thank everyone in this game for the outpouring of affection, concern, and thoughtful consideration in the aftermath of this round's anonymous meme. Even when we have moments of darkness, I'm always so impressed by just how caring this community is on the whole, and I'm incredibly grateful to

The fact that any of that actually happens, I find really awkward.
My opinions on 'outing' minors stays the same, mind you. I just think that perhaps our time would be better spent discussing what is actually appropriate to play out at CnC. I'm all for artistic freedom and such, and yeah, if I don't like it, I certainly don't have to view the log. But I don't know. Regardless of the age of the players, I still don't think that needs to be part of the comm.
I'm really not trying to offend any of the players involved in that plot. But from the sounds of it (and keep in mind, guys, I haven't actually read anything about it yet), that doesn't seem like something that fits my general impression of CnC.
But, it's 4:19am my time. I'll revisit the issue after some sleep.
This does give me a little more understanding of where you're coming from though. But like I said, I entirely missed that. Anon's comments seemed entirely out of left field, ergo this hysteria came off as a massive over reaction.

Nothing was done explicitly that I saw, of course, but the fact that it was a major plot point is part of why I keep getting confused at what the acceptable tone/rating is of the game itself, and I thought there probably should be some safeguards in place. I have no idea how often the game does or will get that dark in the future.
Personally, while I see where the potential concern is about outing minors, but I don't think the reality of play will match the fears of shunning, because our players are too cool for that. Maybe they don't want to be treated differently, and maybe they can handle stuff that older people can't, but legally we HAVE to treat them a little differently. It's part of adulthood and responsibility as much as it is childhood and that impatient sprint to that legality finish line where the world (or at least most of the country) treats you as fully capable of handling your bidnezz.
Or so my old ass thinks. Maybe I'm too old to truly appreciate their fears of being treated like a mascot instead of a player to be reckoned with or something. I have also been awake too long. More discussion if necessary on the morrow.
