open letter
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen of C&C.
I, Grimm, will be stepping down from my mod position as of Wednesday, July 8.
While I have thoroughly enjoyed helping out with maintaining the community, and am actually still trying to convince myself that I don't have to make this decision even now, I must admit that:
*given recent massive instability with my job in real life,
*given the other activities I keep up with outside of this RP and their requirements,
*given the abrupt mad scramble to now balance new kittens, old pets, and apartment searching,
*given my relatively poor health and/or sleep as of late and the toll it's taken on my available time/ability to do coherent and useful modding, and
*given my desire to actually play the characters I have in what time I have to myself and uphold my responsibilities to those playing with me,
I can not keep up with the schedules and duties that being a moderator demands of me. Perhaps this situation will change in the distant future, but it is no longer one that I can consider workable at this present time.
I thank everyone here for any and all support and cooperation during my time as a mod, and I sincerely look forward to continuing to play here under my new circumstances and with the extra time this will give me to do so. I also appreciate the opportunity that I had to see how things work here behind the scenes, have input, and generally try to make this place better for you guys. The community meant and still means very much to me; that I had even a little while to help it in some way is more than I could have asked for.
Be good and affectionate to the remaining moderator staff--and if/when a new one is eventually picked, let's love on them wonderfully for being willing to step up to the plate and everything it entails, too.
