root for the home team

WHO: Cap, Superman, Condiment King
WHERE: A baseball stadium of some sort
WHEN: Forward dated to Friday (because a baseball game on Monday just feels odd)
WARNINGS: Ridiculousness and bald eagles crying and happenings IN AMERICA.
SUMMARY: Take two All-American heroes and pit them against the Condiment King. Oh goodness gracious.
FORMAT: Quick log

[It's a beautiful day. The sky is blue and clear and the stadium is packed with baseball fans, painted and decked out in their team colors. The rumble of the crowd is loud, but cheerful, and hot dogs and cracker jacks and beer are being waved about by vendors, who wander up and down the aisles. The seventh inning stretch is almost over and the game is just about to begin.

Somewhere in the crowds, a blond-haired, blue-eyed man is making his way to his seat, shuffling apologetically past vaguely disgruntled baseball fans. Somewhere else in the crowd, a certain spectacled reporter is enjoying his day off. Neither of them know that something decidedly disastrous is about to happen.]
