WHO: Mello and Heero (aka the clones).
WHERE: Mello's shop.
WHEN: Friday, Jan. 9, early afternoon, backdated for greater fail.
WARNINGS: Violence, things going boom, Mello.
SUMMARY: Heero wants some explosives. Mello shows him some explosives. Then things explode. Uh. Whoops.
FORMAT: Whatever, man.
(
oh man, come see what this one does! 8DDDDD )
"Do you have the explosives?" He asked bluntly, remembering Trowa's words from when they had briefly met again. Trowa didn't trust Mello. Heero couldn't help but privately agree, even with Duo's approval. He'd have to be careful about this.

It didn't matter, of course. Mello didn't need any of them to trust him. Business relationships should stay that way unless, of course, one of those involved was gullible enough to be manipulated. None of these kids were, and Mello knew it.
He nodded towards the back room, smile slipping into an almost frighteningly intent look as he pushed the door open to reveal boxes in various sizes, pulled out of the safe for this purpose. "What kind were you looking for, exactly?"

Of course, that was assuming he actually had the money to buy them. He felt himself starting to frown, and quickly schooled his expression again. "I won't be able to buy anything," he added. Even if he could, he still wasn't sure about where he could store things.

"I'm still building up my stock," he responded, picking through the boxes. "Handmaking most of them, but anyway . . . " He slid a few boxes across the floor towards Heero. "These might interest you. Weak enough, hardy. You can look through 'em, I don't care."
[ooc: lol i have. no idea how an explosion big enough to take out a wall would be triggered, so you can do it if you want :|]

Heero had been expecting the worst; even if the bomb hadn't hit him, the rubble would have. He should've had cuts and bruises at the very least.
He had felt the debris hitting him. He had felt it. But as the dust settled and Heero raised his head, he noticed that there was a very small circle of clear area around him ( ... )

Mello let out a slow breath. He was completely unharmed. Even Mello had a couple of cuts, but Heero had nothing. He looked a little stiff as he stood up, maybe, but -
He paused. He knew this. This was good. Heero was invulnerable.
That was sort of fitting.
A slow grin spread across his face. "Yeah," he said. "I guess we have."

Heero felt his own expression briefly slipping into an echoing grin; he was almost pleased. Now there was no chance of being injured if he was careless, or of having to worry about the consequences unless they were life-threatening. Who knew, even then?
Underneath those immediate thoughts were a smugness, fueled by the things he had discovered here; Duo was older. Everyone else knew their powers. He couldn't pass the age difference, but he was certainly on par with them again. He enjoyed the feeling.
He looked down at his sleeves, schooling his face back into its normal blank demeanor. Now he could see that there was faint scorch marks on them; he must have left it longer than he had thought.
"I need to head back," Heero said, suddenly realizing that he had better change his clothes before one of the other pilots saw him. They'd assume the worst--and that Mello might have been involved.

Mello had to keep himself from shaking his head. That was something - for Heero to be smiling. He'd only known him for a short while, but he could tell already that it was a feat. He wasn't entirely sure what Heero had to be so smug about - his own reaction when he'd discovered his powers had been one of utter fury at being manipulated on such a basic level by Iron Man. By now, of course, he'd long grown into and learned how to use them, but at that time, he'd been utterly furious.
Still . . . he had to admit, Heero's power was a little more useful than his, especially given how - accident-prone he tended to be. Ah, well. He gave a brief mental shrug. Nothing he could do about it.
Nodding at him, he noted the glance at Heero's shirt and curled his lip. "I'm sure I'll be getting hit sometime later today. Whatever. I'm assuming you'll be back at a later date when you're able to buy

"You'd better hope not," Heero answered, pulling off his jacket. He briefly inspected his shirt, and decided that it looked slightly less worse than his jacket had. "Yes. I'll come back." He glanced at the wall and studied the wreckage before turning to Mello, his expression back to normal. "It's obvious that your bombs work quite well."
