Jono knocked on the apartment door and tried to settle his nerves. They'd talked this over already; she'd gotten mad at him, he'd placated her, they'd made up, and all from a comfortable distance where Paige couldn't actually get physically violent (ie, on the phone). Not that she ever needed to, in order to really, truly hurt him.
But that chapter was over. It was time to turn over a new page in this book. Jono intended to do so, perhaps by using more tact and sensibility than the last time he'd tried. Didn't stop him from being any less nervous as he heard Paige's hand on the lock. At least Monet was out for the night.
