SUMMARY: Shin'ichi has an off-day from selling books. So he goes to the park, plays his DSi and meets inappropriately young people and make friends! I swear he's not a pedo, he just connects better with twelve-year-olds. IT'S MY CANON YOU GUYS I CAN'T CHANGE IT.

It was so weird, this concept of having days off. He'd never had regular days off before, being a schoolteacher, so the idea of waking up on Wednesday and never having to work unless they called him in was completely new and strange. He had taken to wandering around the City on Wednesdays, as it were, and today he had decided that the park was a pretty awesome place to be. He hadn't been there yet, having been just a little bit obsessed with this thing he'd gotten at the gamestore - it was like a little computer that ran different programs that were stored on little cartridges and it was pretty much the coolest thing he had ever seen. Kazuki had something like it back home, but this one was different. It could take pictures and things.
And it was portable! Which made it doubly awesome and was the sole reason that Shin'ichi was sitting down in the park and playing it. Currently, he was playing a program called "Tetris" where all the little blocks had to line up so they disappeared. He wasn't very good at it yet, but it was lots of fun to play and he was getting better at it.
