The three Cuckoos filed into the living room, one after another-- they had some free time, and this was as good a place as any to spend it. Mister Worthington had spent so much money (some of it acquired by them) on it, after all, and it would be a shame not to properly appreciate the place.

"Oh, hello, Suzi!"

Suzi paused, unsure whether to turn on the TV as the girls walked in. Mentally shrugging, she flicked on the television and looked over.

"Hey Celeste. Hey Mindee. Hey Phoebe." Suzi still couldn't tell who was who. She sent them a small smile. Not happy with what was on, she starting flipping through the channels.

"Did any of you want to watch anything in particular?"

Suzi had gotten the order right, but the girls suspected it was a wild guess on her part. Nonetheless, they weren't offended; hardly anyone could tell them apart anyway. They sat down on the other couch, Phoebe shaking her head to signal a collective no.

"Not really. Do go ahead, we hope we aren't interrupting your plans," she said on behalf of them all.

Suzi kept changing the channel, not really paying much attention before leaving it on some reality show. She wasn't really vegging out much but she didn't feel like doing anything else either. She tossed the remote onto the center table, leaving it open for anyone to grab.

Looking at the Cuckoos she replied, "I don't have any plans. I thought I wanted to watch some TV but I guess I'm not up for much of it."

Reality shows on television weren't half as fun for the Cuckoos, who couldn't actually delve into the minds of the contestants to see what they were really thinking behind those saccharine, politically-correct words of theirs, and who they really wanted to backstab. Leaning back collectively against the couch, they thought for awhile before speaking together.

"Well, would you like to help us plan for the upcoming prom, then?"

Suzi drew back in surprise, interrupted from her aimless thoughts. She'd caught the announcements about prom but hadn't really thought much about it.

"What?" she blinked. Catching herself, Suzi realized that hadn't come out politely, "I mean uh, well, I--I thought the committee spots were already filled."

"Oh no, it's mostly just us and we'd love all the help we can get," Celeste spoke up. Technically the Cuckoos would still be the domineering supervisors (under the purview of Scott, of course), but that wasn't any reason to keep others out. More hands made less work, after all.

"The food and the decorations are being taken care of by a Tiana and our Pixie, but we're sure they would welcome the help if you're so inclined," said Mindee.

"And there are still the invitations, the programmes and everything else to settle," added Phoebe. "Plenty of choice, really."

"Oh," Suzi answered. She took a moment to think about it, unsure about whether she wanted to participate. She was usually a fan of parties but she hadn't really ever done any behind the scenes work for something as big as prom. She also wasn't sure whether she had the spirit to do it.

She shifted. She was in a funk and maybe this would something to help get her out of it.

"What would you need me to do?"

"Logistics," they decided finally after a brief telepathic conference.

"And helping us make sure the programme runs smoothly," Mindee said. (Okay, so she was fantasising about having Suzi speed up any performances, musical or otherwise, on stage that might turn out to be awful.) "Unless you have anything else in mind, in which case we would appreciate that as well," chimed in Celeste.

Suzi shook her head. "No, not really," she said. "Logistics sounds pretty good to me."

She tilted her head, "Is there going to be a long programme? I figured there'd just be a DJ or a band. What else is going to happen?"

No, you're right. It probably will just be music of some kind.Possibly a DJ, a band and an open mike session.A girl named Lyra would like to carry out some icebreakers, as well.Otherwise, it's just going to be a truckload of social mingling.People like that at a prom, don't they?We do.

People do like that. I've never really heard of an open mike session at prom but that sounds like it'll be fun. I'll work on making sure that stuff's there when it needs to be then.

I guess this means I should be there on time then?

Thank you, and yes, please.Alternatively, you could just slow everyone else down.Isn't time relative for you, anyway?

No problem. [smiles] Yeah, it's somewhat relative. But if anything's moving too fast, I can fix it.

Do you have limits on your powers?

[Thoughtful headtilt]

For now yeah, but I think I can push some more. I'm hoping I can work on that in the Danger Room with a teacher.
