Meanwhile, Fakir and Rue waited in the encroaching twilight just outside the cemetery gates. Fakir, having called in what counted for a cavalry in this situation, stood with his arms crossed tensely over his chest as he alternated between scanning the street and turning back to cautiously watch the mausoleum in the distance.

He could hear the ravens circling the mausoleum, filling the crisp air with their squawking.

Threatening to tear you in two.

He shivered almost imperceptibly, tightening his grip of his marked arm. No, that wouldn't happen. This was a different story, with a different ending. Even for him. And yet... If it were a different story, why did some small part of him still believe that he would die, and the Rue would ultimately save Mytho?

Fortunately, Sanji had taken an earlier shift at the club, so he was free just when Fakir's call came to his comm device. He was actually just leaving work, so he headed over to meet up with the youngsters instead of going home. He had no jacket on, since it had been such a nice day - just a dress shirt and tie - and was already halfway through a cigarette when he spotted the pair by the gates.

Cemetery, huh? After the past week, the irony was not lost on him. And reminded him doubly-so of Thriller Bark. Not his favorite setting, but he didn't appear bothered. "...you found him, finally?" he asked by way of greeting.

Ken arrived as soon after he had received the message from Fakir's com. He rushed quickly wearing his new team uniform. It was an strange feeling wearing the gray outfit, so similar to the clothes he had worn in the digital world but his his Digimental crest inscribed across the front of it to give a more super-heroic look. A messenger bag was slung over his shoulder.

The boy remained quiet for a moment giving a respectful nod to Sanji before bowing his head to Fakir apologetically. "I'm sorry I couldn't find your friend earlier."

[OOC - My computer time this weekend is going to be very limited so Ken's going to be in the background for most of this until I get back.]

The crows wheeling overhead shrieked in chorus, and Diablo looked up, dark eyes suddenly alert. There was something in their cries, it seemed, that caught his attention.

Maleficent could sense the sudden tension in her familiar. "Go, my pet," she said smoothly. "Bring me a report."

Swiftly the raven sprang into flight, powerful wings carrying him out into the bloody sunlight.
