Tom's head was in a maelstrom, fingers stiff and cold as he tried and failed to concentrate on the string of numbers that'd tell Bucky that he was in the hospital proper. Not the clinic, nothing that small. He didn't---didn't know what he'd say to Bucky when he saw him. What could he say? Would he want an explanation? Did he deserve an apology, or should he give one to Bucky for failing to do what he'd asked for straight away?
